Sometimes working with a “big-name” agency means you’re just a number.
Chestnut Hill College found that out the hard way, and after a few years of paying a steep price for advertising but not seeing much ROI, they sought out a new marketing partner.
The College needed to set itself apart from other schools that looked similar on the surface—small Catholic schools in the Philadelphia region. Their leaders wanted to showcase new and unique undergraduate programs to potential students while increasing brand awareness across age groups in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Over the course of two and a half years, we’ve developed unique branding, messaging and digital advertising campaigns that improve the College’s visibility and strengthen the pipeline of undergraduate students. Our work has evolved over time; we started by developing a visual brand and messaging strategy for an undergraduate program for undecided students before expanding into digital advertising campaigns for this program, as well as all undergraduate students.
Working hand-in-hand with the Admissions team, we developed a series of social ad and email marketing campaigns to drive inquiries and promote events.
Our advertising campaigns helped drive a:
- 35% increase in first year enrollment over 2019 and 2020
- 87% increase in first-year applications for Fall 2020
- 63% increase in transfer applications for Fall 2020
- 33% increase in year-year first-year enrollment for Fall 2019
- 13% increase in transfer enrollment
- 70% increase in total campus visits
The campaigns also led Chestnut Hill College to exceed all Fall 2019 and 2020 and Spring 2019 enrollment goals.
Since then, we’ve extended our partnership to help the graduate and accelerated adult programs at Chestnut Hill.
