Companies spend a ton of their marketing budget on content marketing, and for good reason: It works! Unfortunately, a lot of companies aren’t seeing the connection between content marketing and email marketing, and that’s a shame. There’s a huge opportunity here for one hand to wash the other and ultimately both benefit from the effort.

In this post, I’ll show you some of the ways your email marketing can mix with your content marketing efforts to produce stellar results.

Email and Content Marketing: A Match Made in Heaven

When you place these two types of marketing side-by-side, you see that there are a lot of ways the two can benefit one another. Here are some creative ways you can look at these two types of marketing differently:

  • Great content works. That’s just a simple fact. People will engage with an email packed with valuable content just as much as they would with content made on free blog sites. Use your great content in your emails to boost this engagement.
  • Connect your email content with your blog. Companies who blog consistently get more customers, and therefore, more email signups. Bring some of this valuable content to your email marketing.
  • Allow your content and email teams to collaborate on their campaigns. Make sure everyone is on the same page and you see all the ways a cooperative approach will benefit your business.

In the end, customers simply want high quality content. Nothing more, nothing less. If you can provide them with this, whether it be on a blog or in an email, then you’ll have their attention.
